The 2nd Annual Ummi’s Ummah Mother’s Day
This year we are looking to honor and celebrate 7 amazing women. We are looking for 7 women who are mothers in their own family plus mother’s to others throughout the community. It can be big acts such as leading a community committee, volunteering at their kids school, or picking and dropping off kids for sporting events.
No act is too big or small for these women because they will all be honored. Requirements will be: Live in Durham, NC Must be available to receive gift on Saturday, May 13 at 12PM Must be a mother/guardian/parent Must volunteer or participate in their community someway Donating time or money Tutoring or mentoring kids Showing up for people other than her family Must be a Woman of Color
This year’s nominees will teach us all, that we can give more than our time to our own families. We are also able to show love to those around us.
Please use the link to submit your nominations to Ummi’s Ummah. Nominations will be accepted from April 11 - April 22, 2023. A decision will be made on Saturday, April 22. We will contact the nominees through those that elect her.
